A holiday for all seasons

Welcome to Chalet Roux from Angus, Trisha and Issy - and to this website for our home-from-home in the beautiful Swiss Alps. We have been coming here for over 10 years and have many special memories of great times with friends and family. We hope you will visit too and enjoy it as much as we have.

The Chalet

A beautiful, spacious and traditional-style Swiss chalet that comfortably sleeps 10. Overlooking the ancient village of Grimentz, with amazing views across the valley and of the Weisshorn summit at over 4500m, and just seven minutes walk to the piste.

Skiing

Four ski villages covered on the same lift pass boasting 220kms of immaculately groomed pistes. A new cable car links Grimentz and Zinal. Legendary off-piste for the more adventurous.

Summer

Walking, hiking, mountain biking, via ferrata climbing route, tree-top adventures, tennis courts, and much more for the energetically-inclined. Tranquillity, abundant wild flowers, wonderful scenery and beautiful old villages for those looking to relax.

Winter

The splendour of the mountains in winter and the special atmosphere of the villages and forests covered in snow are hard to beat. Skiing, snow-boarding, tobogganing, skating, snowshoeing, paragliding, ski-touring - the choice is yours.

Grimentz & the Val d'Anniviers

Grimentz is just one of the beautiful and ancient villages in this unspoilt valley. Filled with geraniums in summer, it is equally charming when snow-covered in winter.
